The envelope was opened for inspection and we have such strict customs rules here in Australia. Anyway, love the texture in your paper - it's good enough to make it into one of my mixed media pieces. Everything you sent is so perfectly wonderful...I...I...am at a loss for words. :) I'll start by saying the ATC's are brilliant - love both of those quotes - especially the Warren one (he's so funny!). I can't wait to try the chocolate spice tea - sounds super yummy! The postcards and pictures are awesome!! Can't believe you found an Edward Gorey one!!! (happy dance!!) Today you are right, our weather has cooled off, but at the time we too were in the high 90's/ high 30's + ridiculous humidity - the kind where when you step outside the air actually feels wet! Comment: The card was extra special and I love the little drawings you did on it. I do need to tell you that some of the front tore away in the mail. Two of the stripes were completely gone and another one just hanging on. The machines can be very rough on PCs!

Never seen bird shaped post it notes before, we are totally missing out on those kind of things over here, it's all so boring and square. I love Jeffrey Brown cat drawings, I've seen them before, probably in one of our many comic books, we don't do super heroes over here, it's all fun and silly =) When I found the coin inside the pouch it hit me: I have never seen a coin from Canada before! I spoke to my mom about stuff like that just a few hours ago, we know so much about the US, about politics and way of life and all that, but Canada... nothing. We couldn't even agree with ourselves if you have a male or female prime minister. But we do know you have no president since you still got a queen. Norway is a monarchy too, our king paved the way for all the young royal couples out there now, that choose their life partner from outside the royal blood line. He said "this woman, or no woman at all", and of course he got his way in the end. Our crown prince then found a wife with a kid from a previous relationship. What our future queen might do I don't know (she is only about 7 years old now), but I wouldn't be surprised if she turns out lesbian ;P But no news is good news, don't you think? Since we don't get the huge headlines from Canada, it probably means that you have a quiet and good life over there =)

Comment: Love the cards!! You did a great job with both of them! And to answer your question: the bunny and the cat are about the same size (though Macbeth technically weighs a bit less). It's rare to find them in the same room, though, because the cat is absolutely TERRIFIED of the rabbit! She is convinced that he is going to eat her or something, so she always runs away in terror when she sees him, hehe. Anyway, thanks again for the lovely ATCs!

I absolutely LOVED everything from the decorated envelope to the swatches of decorative papers/fabrics and the cute tie and handmade hang tag that bundled them together. Your lovely note was so sincere in personalizing to my profile. (A doo-wop is a concert of original artists (singing groups) from the 50's & 60's brought together to sing their original hits.) Comment: Love all your robot ATCs! Thank you for sending extras, too. You are correct, we have quite a menagerie. The husband used to have two iguanas and a ball python, too. But they all died of old age a few years back. Had they lived a little longer with the critters we have now, we'll have a small zoo. LOL. Don't you love that word, imbiber? It sounds so finesse and totally un-negative...haha...it's like you're not really going overboard just delicately indulging yourself. X-D Have a great weekend. (^_^)

Comment: Gidday kindledwhimsy (Ainslie), Thank you for the lovely, lovely ATCs celebrating Mother Nature - getting two was a real bonus, and I loved them both. I thought it was really clever using the hands over Mother Earth, with the words over the globe representing various aspects of nature. I loved the other card too, with the stack of rocks and the unusual apple. But you also sent the most beautiful letter decorated with Japanese washi paper, which really delighted me. I loved the decorations on the envelope too, as well as the bonus cat postcard (I'm sure Xena my cat appreciated this!). Thank you, thank you so much... Dixie xo
