Response: Whoops! I just found the note on my desk that was supposed to go in with the coasters to explain it! Oh well, I'm glad you had fun solving it as though it was an extra puzzle.
Response: Now here are a few things Mrs. Tate from Home Ec would never have imagined. Layering aprons (I heartily approve of the concept!); the internet and personal computers; and trading your Home Ec project away when it becomes vintage! Happy Halloween!
Response: Punk Princess: your muse-doll implores you pay the 2-coin ransom so that she may be returned to you. You really should not trust me to know exactly what to feed your muse. She is wasting away. Pay the ransom, I urge you!She will then be mailed to you, safe and sound.
Signed,
The Muse -nappers
Response: I have been having so much fun making wands lately. It started when I was collecting driftwood sticks on Lake Superior while visiting my friends lakehome. I have fun ones, silly ones, art-y ones, flower-y ones. I must have 20 by now. I ahve no idea what i will do with them all- but I am having fun making them still. I am glad you are enjoying yours. I am still trying to get over my big sis Emily's recent death- I guess i need to find magic. So I will keep making wands.
Response: So glad there is a net balance of goddess goodness going on here!
Response: did the paper cup make it? that item was the true test of naked mail. to see if something that lacked durability could survive.
Response: Just when we thought winter was getting behind us here, we got bounced back into the deep freeze. Boy, I hope she doesn't melt out there in your warmth. I am glad you enjoy her.
Response: Oh gosh, I usually include notes, but I was on my way to my Senate District Convention and hit the post office on the way. I completely forgot the notes on my table and sent off a batch of mail without them. My note said that i enjoyed the wild bird project because I find I do not have enough time in the woods lately. But soon it willbe Spring here and the birds will wake me every day, even when I am in the city. I am lucky enough to have an eagle pair nesting near my home and open water nearby, so they did not migrate south. Soon it will be time for them to lay eggs, and then we will see how many eaglets we have this year. It is great fun watching them learn how to catch fish. I am glad you enjoyed the cards.
Response: The tatoo was the greatest surprise. I stamped on a transparency, cut it out and tried to glue it down flat with an acryllic glue. Then it started popping up, so I had to peel it off. The ink stayed on the doll and the transparency material came off clean. Mistakes are often great discoveries! Her corset was an angel Christmas ornament that I beheaded and opened up a bit. That was a great find, too! I am glad you enjoy her.

Response: Thanks, and you are welcome, too. Its funny what projects really resonate with you fromt eh start. I knew right fromthe star I would love the buttton fairy project, just as soon as I saw a picture of one. And there are so many different ways to interpret the project! I am amazed whenever I receiv one or see a picture.
Response: Oh no! My first postal casualty, ever. Was it the snowflake that broke? I have many more and can send you a replacement one for it. Let me know and I will pop it in the mail.
Response: Thanks. The substance is lightweight vinyl spackle from the local home inprovement store-- much cheaper than using modeling medium from the art store. Fabric bases are a fun technique. Try both of these techniques sometime, I bet you will get interesting and rewarding results.
Response: Thanks. I ran them thru my little laminator, and trimmed them close tot he edge of the card. Isn't it fun to see what new techniques you learn from swapping! I have gotten some really great inspirations and technique ideas from these swaps.
Response: YOu are welcome. i am happy to share. I took one of my journal covers and made a ribbon loop for a binding and made pages that fit through the loop. Now I can change the pages when they get full and re-use the cover. I have a hard time writing in a journal. I always feel like I am messing it up with my untidy handwriting.
Response: I enjoy reading profiles and including things that might brighten the mailbox of a swap partner. Heavens knows i have enough stuff here. I am glad you enjoyed the items.
Response: You are welcome. I am glad you enjoyed it. A bag should never be empty, so I a winter warm up was the perfect thing to include with it. Build a snowman and enjoy a mug of hot chocolate! Snowman life advice on my FLICKR page
