Mother of 4, married over 20 years to a retired Air Force man. Two kids in college, 1 in high school and 1 in 5th grade. I currently work at my local quilt shop.
I've been on a personal life mission to lose weight and take better care of myself over the past year. I have lost over 30 lbs - only 30 more to go!
I've been actively online since 1998 and doing swaps since late 1998. I've swapped mainly quilting blocks and fabrics. I also have hosted many swaps through verses groups over the past 10 years.
I'm very easy going and enjoy all sorts of things, but I love the ocean and fall and things that evolve around them - colors, sounds, sites, items. I'm not a beach bunny, but I love to mediate and watch and listen to it especially as the sun rises. Though I am NOT a morning person - yah, I'm weird. A view sunrise as a clean slate to a new day!
As you will see, I'm a quilter to the heart and soul. I go by The Quilting Pirate online.
I love machine piecing and collecting fabric. I love batik fabrics and can always use new ones. I also love bright and novelty fabrics. I don't like Thimbleberries or dark traditional fabric lines (a quilter would understand that).
I don't scrapbook, knit, or make ATC's. I might in the future, but my focus is quilting.
I'm a very seasonal person. Meaning, I love autumn things in autumn and springy things in spring/summer. So, keep that in mind when using my preferences.
A few of my favorite things:
~ Color - Purple, lime, turquoise, jewel tones, autumn colors
~ Fabrics - batiks, 100% cotton (prefer quilt store quality)
~ Plants - sunflowers, herbs - all

10/04/2007 Apparently I might have offended someone, which was not my intent. So, going forward this is how I handle things.
If you have not sent me a required swap package, I will contact you first before rating you. If you don't respond, I will assume you have moved on.
In the same respect, if you are a person waiting on a package from me and you have not left me a feedback, I will contact you to verify you received it.
I want to give the benefit of doubt with everyone and not assume the worst. So, if you have any concerns please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Thank you.

I'm so glad you like it. It was sooo hard not to do a lot of halloween stuff, especially since you like halloween. I hope you can use most of it through the season -- were my tiny pumpkins worth the wait? hehe
nice name....i see we have something in common!
