I hope you have/had fun at the mermaid museum, sounds like a cool place. Also cool you are close to John's Hopkins - hope you get to participate in a research study someday! I've been keeping up with the research/advances in psychedelic medicine as I have vested personal interest due to my own MH issues (have been undergoing K therapy and have had to keep up with the ever-changing regulations regarding that as its been the only effective tx for me.) Also so fascinated by the owl/deer alien connection so I love that you included that; will have to read that study you mentioned! Did you ever see that cheesy alien movie the 4th kind? Response: It seems like only one of the three original cards made it, so I resent yours and another. The only thing I did differently from other chunks is adding washi tape, and I wonder if the PO machinery didn't like it for some reason. Lesson learned I suppose and I won't use that again just in case! Thanks for accepting a re-sent and I greatly appreciate the updated feedback!

One of my recent thrift scores was a Portland Trail Blazers commemorative postcard book. It has postcards with images from the 1970s to the 2010s.
My favorite Cryptid is bigfoot because he is my PNW neighbor.
I'm not sure if aliens are cryptids. I'll have to ponder that for a bit.

Didn't really cool down to freezing till almost the end of the month. I don't really do halloween anymore as the kids in the trailer park don't go around this neighborhood but to the different Trunk or Treats around town. 2 Big ones downtown and almost every church around town. Only one I had was great-granddaughter who was dressed as Pikachu and wanted to come show me.

Comment: Oh I loved receiving your solar paper prints! So unique! Do you go to a photo studio or do you do this in your home? The solar eclipse one is just phenomenal. Thank you so much!!
Response: I just do them at home! I have a laundry room with a large sink that I have set up as a dark room. I use the cyanotype printing kit from B&H on watercolor paper. I take my image and make it a negative, print on an injket-friendly transparency sheet, then use that on top of the prepped solar paper/cyanotype paper. I've found that a seven minute exposure seems to be a good place for most prints of this type. Also if you make lots of these, I bought a uv light so I can do them indoors and during any weather. Comment: I really enjoyed your writeup and photos. I will have to google the boomer bile prop. My son and I once had a trackable race from Sweden to Yuma, AZ. His got lost in Germany. Mine arrived after 3 years at the mega event in Yuma. Yay! But y son was disapointed about his.
Response: Oh wow! That's quite a journey! I'm sorry one was lost - I was sad when ours stopped showing up in the tracking, but here's hoping they both turn up eventually! My hope is that someone stumbles upon it and looks it up and maybe becomes a new geocacher from it!

Comment: Yay, I solved it except for one word! "I am trying to become skilled at things like PICOCTF. It uses python..." I am not sure if the triangles are "left handed", as i call them or symmetrical, but I've tried it everyway I can think of and can't get it. A little help, please? :)
Yes i am a math person, but i am absolutely not a computer person (ha, maybe that's why I missed that one word!). I do the cryptoquip in the newspaper, but that and the crossword are the only puzzles I do (oh and Wordle, Waffle, and Worldle sometimes). The museum sounds cool!
My 10 year old son made his own code today for the first time, coincidentally on the day your letter arrived. Thanks!!

It did not have the cards but it has all original hardware etc. and yes she sits in my craft room and I’ve been organizing my stickers and other bits n bobs in the drawers. So far I’ve used 20 drawers but I’m in no rush lol. Funny enough tho I have a ton of original cards that I bought months before at a place in Pittsburgh called. Looked up the author and yep, all the hallmarks and she's definitely friendly with the IOT people based on who she's been interviewed with. She also runs an online magick school and I've been reading up on that. I'm EXTREMELY curious to see what she says in here. Like really really curious. She is hardcore a black magician with a cult following. I'm gonna try to read it this week, I think she will have some decent information in here and also all sorts of shady things casually mixed in. Very excited, I had no idea she existed and we will def have stormy days soon haha. Thank you for the awesome ghosty extras as well!

In particular your last exp - I have seen mentioned in a lot of UFO stories with the lights in the window that often people will get the overwhelming sense of peace/calm and not investigate the source as it's happening. Edit: I made them on Sunday and damn! I don't know if it's because I never made them right before and never put frosting on top, but your recipe is awesome! Though I made a few mistakes (had to bake them a second time after I put the frosting on because they weren't done yet) they were delicious, even in that state they were in after their second bake. I can't imagine how good they will be if I make them right.
You know what? This recipe deserves a page in my handwritten cookbook! <3

I sent my partner an Alice themed drawing and I was so happy to get a picture of her as I am obsessed with the books/movies. I absolutely love it! It's creative and beautiful and I'm going to find a nice frame so it can sit beside my bed. I love the Christmas card as well, thank you so much!

Comment: Why I rated you down; the deadline was 9/10, you pm'd me on 9/14 saying you weren't going to get them out. You knew you were already late and yet you had already marked the swap as sent on 9/11. (to this date your swap still says sent on 9/11) On 9/21 I pm'd you asking if this had been sent yet, since I saw you marked it sent on 9/11. You did not explain the 9/11 sent date which obviously is wrong, you did however say "within the past day I caught up on everything I've had to mail out." On 9/24, I received your photos and your package was posted on 9/21, not as you stated, "within the past day". This is the first time I have rated anyone down. I was willing to let you send late, however once I saw you had updated the swap as having been sent when you knowingly hadn't mailed the swap, I contacted the coordinator and brought this matter to her attention. She has investigated and validated my need to rate down.
Response: I told you on 9/21 that it had been sent on 9/21...earlier in the day...which to me, is within the past day. As for marking the item sent as of 9/11, this was my mistake. I marked it as sent at work, intending to print my photos and send them off of my way home and a personal emergecy changed that. I'm new to the site and as far as I know, there is no way to take back that notice once you have clicked that the items are sent. In the future, I won't assume that things will go as planned, even for something as simple as clicking it just before I plan to send. My apologies.
