I'll definitely be putting the bookmark in my craft book I'm working out of and the notecard, & letter set are beautiful as are the stickers. Mason & Lexi are ok. Mason's in counseling and in 5K reading on a 4th or 5th grade level at least. Lexi starts preK this year. I hope everything goes well for your grandson!
Response: Sorry Kathy that it's taken me so long to respond. Along with trying to be outside more, I've been having tremendous pain in my upper right arm. I try not to overuse the arm and have gone to the chiropractor. If it doesn't help going again this week then I'll tell my oncologist. But besides all that, you're quite welcome regarding the swap.Glad to hear things are slowly improving for Mason and Lexi ♥.

Comment: I love the little owl with an acorn hat! And I love the pencil sharpener. I'm one of a few people who does actually use pencils. I like the mechanical ones but they keep breaking so I always go back to the good old standards! So, thank you!

Comment: I have seen Murdoch Mysteries. It comes on our public television station. My netflix knows I like Canadian tv so much, that it has a genre section of "Candian TV & Movies" when I'm searching for something to watch. Cheaper by the Dozen was one of my favorite books as a kid. I remember reading it in 3rd or 4th grade.
Response: I read that book as an adult as well as seeing the movie. The book remains a classic to me. Thank you very much for the rating, and the heart! I think Murdoch is coming back in its 12th season. :o)

Response: I'm so glad you use a helmet when riding. When we told our kids they had to, once it became a by-law so long ago, they all quit riding. Childlike dumb or what? And I was just talking to my mom last week about how we both wanted to see the Cavalia Odeysseo show, but never made it happen...thank you for the lovely postcard of that. I'm thankful that I do not have any health issues that would be agrivated by the air quality! Many people around here and the evacuation locations are not so fortunante. I hope you are also enjoying your summer (and that our poor air quality isn't reaching you! It has traveled quite the distance!!)
Response: We've had a decent enough summer. It never did get really hot like in previous years and the nights have been to cool for vegetables. I can understand how farmers feel. But no complaining on it as no flooding and no fires to kick us out of our home. It's difficult to imagine being taken from all you know and own. The smoke hasn't reached us from your west coast. Some years its come in from AB fires. Have a great Autumn! ..thank you so much for the wonderful rating, and the heart!

Comment: Dinner sounded lovely! Shirley is SUPER small. I don't think we have more than a few hundred people living here. It's an hour out of Victoria along one of the most beautiful roads along the ocean. I work in the "city" and drive it twice a day. We used to live in Victoria but love the quiet here. I have a garden too! And we have a BIG black bear that comes for a visit. Thank you for your letter and goodies. The whole thing was just perfect.
Response: Your place sounds like a haven! It's so nice to be away from the rush of this world. A cousin of mine lives along the shores of a lake and there are a number of bears that come into his yard. They seem to be quite used to the people. I guess you get used to them after a while! Comment: Thank you for everything - it is all lovely. I write to prisoners for Voice of the Martyrs and I will use your lovely note card with a verse for that. I feel I should also give the bookmark to a prisoner but I have already put it to use.
Response: You're very welcome Anita. I think it's so special that you write letters to those prisoners. I did too for a while but then never felt I was either saying enough or the right thing. I still have all the info for writing to them or the leaders of the countries. and I use the Voice of The Martyrs airmiles card when I shop. At least I'm doing something. You're the first person I ever came across who is also interested in this. May the Lord bless the work of your hands, in Jesus name.

I love maple sryup anything and use to love the sugary maple leave candies that looked liked dried maple sugar. I have not seen those kind around in years maybe because of the sugar rush...lol. But my sister and I love anything maple syrup so now I know of a new kind of gift to give her thanks to you =D. Did you know it is natures antifreeze and my Mother use to believe it prevented colds when flu season was around. It was so nice to have you as a partner and your story of the fort in your area. I would love to visit there if ever I was in your area! Thank you again for everything =D.

Comment: What a nice letter to get. Yes, we drive by Frank quite often, as my husband is from Nelson in the Kootenay's. Yes, definitely, if you get a chance to go to the Maritimes, go! It's a fantastic place, and PEI is beautiful! These days, when we go on trips, I take a journal and write things down - I, too, have forgotten a lot of the places I've been to. Nice to have been able to visit two islands off of Vancouver Is. I've just been to Malcolm Is, a 15 minute ferry ride from Port McNeil (on the northern part of the island). My sister used to live there. Thanks for the prepaid pc, too; that was very generous of you. I love the chairs. I was just at Chestermere Lake (outside of Calgary) and took pictures of these types of chairs sitting on people's properties :) I liked Lorne Green, too - Bonanza was a fave in our home. Hudson looks like the bear on the CDN stamps! I guess I should just have written back - this is getting pretty long, lol.

I subscribe to a few recipe magazines, but try to go through them quickly and just rip out the recipes I want before the magazines take over the house. I have several pinterest recipe boards, and collecting recipes that way sure does take up a lot less space. :)

I get my books from christianbooks.com thru the internet. It's so much cheaper than from a store. Or did I tell you that already?! With Peretti I have his books from so long ago ~ he may have been the first Christian author I began with in This Present Darkness. He hasn't written very many compared to some. But I like him too. The wood working I have done has only been woodburning lately. My husband used to make small like doll houses. We never got it finish though. Life got in the way but it was fun. You can whip up the whole quart of whipping cream if you like and just add a bit more of the other ingredients. You really can't make a mistake on this, and the wafers are soft by 24 hours. it doesn't last long around here. :o)

Response: I'm glad you liked everything. I get the recipe cards thru christianbook.com ~ I must order things from there every 6 wks or so. It's cheaper to buy the music cd's and books from there even with the shipping. There is SO MUCH stuff there!! ~ Merry Christmas!

Comment: Thanks for such a sweet personal note! I was so happy to be able to see most of the UK (except for Ireland). One of my most favorite days on the trip was spent in Wales at the Welsh Folk Life Museum at St. Fagans, just a short bus trip out of Cardiff. The public transport there is so great, I was amazed. ^_^ And the tea and scones with clotted cream! So delicious, I thought I was in heaven. I hope you get to travel as well, and I wish is was as cold here in PA as it is up in Manitoba! We are still in heat and humidity here--ugh. I really enjoyed Canada when I visited. <3 Thanks for the delicious recipe and lovely teas--the raspberry rendezvous looks so delicious!

We have so many birds - herons, turkeys, turkey vultures, grouse, blue jays, cardinals, chickadees, goldfinches, purple house finches, hawks, juncos, nuthatches....I should take up birdwatching!

Response: I know what you mean about being disappointed. I had looked in so many stores and then called Michaels and they had some. So just this past wknd I had my husband drive me down (I don't drive) and I picked up 4 pkg's. I was so excited about that! I would be glad to send you recipes on recipe cards now ..just because I want to use them, as well as I understand how you feel! Pat
