We are a border state (IL) to MO and live about 25 minutes to downtown St. Louis. When I worked, it was always in MO and now that I am retired, I still seem to be over there several times a month! Comment: Firstly, your envelope was so pretty to receive I just loved everything you decorated it with!! Then I find all of those lovely surprises in there!! Oh my goodness I love that feather!! Do you know what kind of bird it is from? The washi, stickers and paper are going to be so awesome to craft with!! And your nice list of birds!! I have seen them all except the cardinals we don't have them here and are little jealous about that lol! How nice to have that sweet couple come every day!! We have a family of ravens that has adopted us and so I do understand your desire for a crow friend!! They are all so fantastically smart birds!!!!
Response: I am so glad that this swap was well received as I was especially ecstatic to put it together. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the feather is likely a juvenile turkey feather, likely a female. I think if you google the juvenile turkey feathers, you can confirm. If it's NOT one of those, feel free to describe it to me, and I can try to remember. I collect feathers from all over my yard and woods so I probably have another lying around that I could put eyes on and figure it out :)

Comment: Hi Amy, That looks to me like a good clear set of goals -- well done! They are achievable and they're also measurable -- you'll be able to see if you've reached them by the end of the month. But do recognise that they are targets to aim for and, if you don't reach them completely, that just helps you to adjust your target for the next month. It's easy to set goals and then to feel we've failed if we don't reach them -- don't slip into that! It's like going for a long hike -- if you don't reach your destination the first day, you're still a lot nearer to it than you were when you started!

Response: I am largely in the minority with my 1 star rating (120 total) vs. 1,107 5 stars and 1,071 4 stars on Goodreads. It's definitely been loved by many. I always seem to be on the opposite end of the spectrum - HA! It bums be out because I SO wanted to just LOVE it.

She was purest white (thus the snow) and I loved the name, 'Isabella.' So . . . I took her name as my own here on swap-bot. Poor sweet girl passed away this past July. I miss her every day, but love that every time I log in to swap-bot, I am reminded of her!

Comment: I love those kinds. >D I was cleaning upstairs at a relative's house. She can't physically get up the stairs without great problems, being disabled, so cleaning upstairs was absolutely out for YEARS before asking for help. When I was vacuuming + cleaning the small corner inside a closet, I distinctly heard her ask something. There was a looming shadow blocking out the only light in the room. In my peripheral vision, I saw a person about her height. I thought she'd somehow managed the stairs to see progress. Then the vacuum died. There was no one in the room. I would have SEEN her on the stairs- it takes her forever to get down them. The vacuum didn't work the rest of the day.

It may seem stupid but certain things are able to transform my day in the best way and polar bears in general remind me of our polar bear Kali at the Saint Louis Zoo. We got him when he was orphaned because his mom was killed by hunters. When I first met him; even between the glass, I just felt some connection and felt even for a few minutes like I was free from pain and the ills of life. I know it sounds crazy and it's all in my mind but it's a long way of saying I appreciate how much you made my day. xo♥♥♥♥

Response: I am SO relieved that you like it!!!! I was so stressed about having to rely on a sticker (though I think it's a nice quality one), but I tried and tried and tried SO hard to draw a whale... and the best description of my attempts is that he was "smug bastard judging me with his wonky eye." I almost sent my attempts along too lol. Thank you so much for the heart! I've only done 4 ATCs to this point, but my confidence is growing!!! <3

Comment: I can not even to put into words how thankful I am. I started following you on IG:jeepma1 after reading your bio I wanted to copy and paste it to mine. So many things that I have wanted to put in mine but after 6 years on here I started to give up on people. This was the most amazing and heart fulfilling package ever. I laughed, I cried, I did an girly circle jumpy dance and sent a group text to show my friends (aka uncultured people who are rolling their eyes saying who cares.). Once I can find my old uniforms I will cut some patches off for you. I have ct law enforcement patches for you. We moved to FL and I would only part with them for someone as you. ( Note: someone as caring and kind hearted as I feel that I am.➡️ ) I love love love your theory on swaps hurting a little bit. I have been getting such unthoughtful garbage in mine half has literally gone in the trash. Not even usable for my 5 year olds smash book. Back to how amazing you are! You have literally made my summer and restored faith in SB. I have joined your group and stalked you on Ig now. Lol. I will be in CT visiting for two weeks but I will find you something amazing along my travels. When I feels right I will know! PS if you request my in IG and get through Fort Knox you will see my daughter had a live unicorn (mini pony) on Sunday at her party. With so much appreciation my rant is over. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The print / picture was from a vendor on the street so it didn't come right from the show, but it is still pretty neat! I really need to read the book myself - the show was incredible, and I was happy to share a piece of it with you :) I followed you back on the good ol' IG. All I can say is ... when you feel disheartened re: SB, stick with it. I think everyone can go through a period where the stress seems to outweigh the pleasure (I went through it when I first started, and I know for sure other friends I've met through here have been through it). Stick with it, don't be late on swaps, and it all works out :) You are most welcome, and I love that I sent these items to its perfect home! That's always a great feel after that little bit of hurt :) <3 xox

I showed my postcard to some of my co-workers and one decided we had to use the word in three sentences that day! One of my co-workers actual used it with a customer while talking about someone. He said, "That guy sounds like a real asshat.". He said the guy laughed and said he loved that word! LOL! Oh and this co-worker is STILL calling ME an asshat! It's created a lot of fun, thank you! 😊

Response: I use Stabilo point 88 fine 0,4 markers to color. They're great, but it takes a while!!! I need to use larger ones for large areas, I think, and use these for the small details. I buy them at AC Moore, usually, but I'm sure they're in other craft stores - I've never looked :) Thanks for the great rating and heart!

Comment: We both bought houses this past year! I forgot we had to buy window coverings!! I had to hang a towel with some thumbtacks in my window in my bathroom! We had one morning where the sun woke us up waaaay to early, so I went out as soon as the store opened and bought some curtain rods and curtains! Cheers for 2015!
