Comment: Oh my goodness, you practically live next door :D Always so fun to swap with a local! I, too, have a local pen pal! We find it so funny to be pen pals and yet live close enough to visit. We have yet to meet up in person, but it is so much fun to write back and forth about local things, like complaining of the heat! My daughter and I do like you at the library! We often bring in our own book just to read and soak up the atmosphere, in case we cannot find something to read there that we are interested in that moment! Thank you for such a thoughtful swap :D

Comment: Dear Debbie, thank you soo very much for your awesome letter. First of all: It simply looks stunning! The envelope was beautiful decorated already and than the matching letter paper? Amazing! XD - I also have a typewriter, but shame on me, do not use it as often as I would like to... The traditional holiday season in my area in Germay was completly cancelled (to many covid-cases) and so I hope 2022 will bring a christmas market again. I missed this and the annual book fair in Leipzig in march more than anything else (from the point of everything that got canceled sind 2020) and maybe... Well, but let's see. ^^° We also have a rather warm winter with ~ 40 F. It's strange to already see flowers bloom at the beginning of february! I wish you a great and healthy 2022 and all the best! :-) Yours, Maxi

The papers are perfectly coordinated and you have included so many wonderful things inside - little magnetic bookmarks (that I will use for sure!), blank tags, cute sticky notes, wonderful envelopes, ATC backs, and so many fun die cut and transparent butterflies! And then the gorgeous nature "stamps" on the back of the folder. I will have such fun using all these goodies. Thank you so much - and I forgot to mention the fabulous dragonfly on the front cover!!

Response: I seriously had so much fun with this project! It’s not a folder, it’s an actual little manual machine that you put paper in and twist a knob. I’ve had it for probably 20 years; if I can find it online I will send you a dm with the info. Tip for the magnets—office stores have business card size adhesive magnets that are easy to cut. Flat, small, one pack of 50 will last for years. Thank you for the kind words and heart!

One year, on Cyber Monday, I bought a FULL YEAR subscription (it was very discounted, just like $20 or so) and I forced myself to read books through KU - UGH!! Never again. I subscribe to Book Bub's newsletter and Freebooksy newsletter & have found a lot of better cheap or free books through those (both services are free) than I ever did with KU!

And that while schools must provide a safe environment. My country has exploded: are we back in the Stone Age? Nobody understands any of this. Questions were asked of the government. He has now nuanced his opinion, but the outrage remains. And just today your amazing PC arrived....goosebumps! Coincidence really does exist!

Our house became so empty when our last of four kids left, it wasn't just them it was their friends too. It was a lot of adjusting for us and I missed the noise in the house. Comment: You are one of the first who reads ebooks more than paper books that I've heard from in a long time. Mostly I just hear how 'wrong' it feels and so on. I'm still on the fence - I love paper books, but like you said, the ebooks are so handy - borrowing an ebook, downloading and starting to read all without leaving the couch is very handy! I don't carry my kindle with me, but I use the kindle app on my phone, so I do have those with me when I leave the house. And I read a few pages of a book while in line or waiting all the time. Thanks for sharing. :)

Comment: What a fun swap. I've tried a cinnamon herbal tea. It was just O.K. But cinnamon black tea sounds wonderful. I love anything cinnamon. Questions: My favorite Anne Rice book is Cry To Heaven. I read it quite a few years ago. I'm now into the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Chokin dishes are from Japan. Chokin is the ancient art of metal engravings with gold and silver gilt. Originally used to decorate the armor of Samurai warriors. Beautiful but always not the easiest to find. Thanks again.

Response: I'm so happy they/you enjoyed it! My grandma just passed a few months ago while living in an assisted living facility. We were really close and it meant a lot to her to receive mail and know that people were thinking of her. I'm 45 so I feel SO grateful that I was able to be in her life for so many years
