Comment: Forgive me if I gush, but you've outdone yourself by spelling not just one but both 6-letter words and topping that off with a Brest Brest Brest card like icing on the double layer cake of your generosity. My fancy has been suited, tickled and struck! Hard to choose favorites, but I'm especially drawn to the Dodo ( who appears to have a foreboding of his future), the Mother Earth landscape, & the Drink Milk ad card. Comment: 1000 hearts to you if I could -- every card you send me is always wonderful, but oh my, this time . . . I saw the top card in the set, the gondolier on a sea of clouds, and thought, "Best postcard ever." Then I came to card #2, dreamy models in a 50's cutaway car, a stunning b/w photo -- and now you have sent me my two favorite postcards ever! The bicycle and well-chosen extras are quite beautiful keepers also. Thank you, thank you. Cheery striped handmade envie too.

Comment: Thank you for the wonderful postcards. Yes, Jetoy is Korean kawaii -- much cherished by people on Postcrossing. I enjoyed participating in the swap too. At first I thought, I don't have enough to make five, and then I started looking for postcards and found many. I have a Pomegranate book of photos from expeditions to Antartica and they all look cold and icebergs for ice.
Response: That is good to know that the Jetoy cards are considered Kawaii. I bought a bunch of them since so many people here have Jetoy on their wish lists, but I really don't know much about them. Comment: Oh my gosh, I'm sure my squeal was heard across the county when I got these cards with a SHACKLETON CARD!!!! This is so lovely, too. Something about immense ice environments just makes me feel so calm. Shackleton is one of my heros as he never lost a man. This hilarious card reminded me of camping trips when I was tiny with my parents and my dad crushing (breakfast) beer cans on his head. Such a cool bunch of cards, I'm so pleased. Your art is lovely! I adore this bird ATC and will cherish it. It's going up in my office today. I had no idea this beautiful ATC was your art at first as I obviously didn't make note of the return address, too busy staring at the awesome envelope design and the guy with sunglasses. I didn't even note in my profile that I adore people wearing sunglasses. Don't ask me how many pairs I have myself, lol. THANK YOU for an awesome swap! As to my dioramas, I need to update my profile with those photos. I'll send one to your email :):):)

I enjoyed each one, probably the quirky agile racers most of all. Sorry to hear of your cancer, but glad to know you feel much better after the recovery process! Our Mediterranean cruise was wonderful despite being there for Europe's heat wave. The 100 degree very humid days walking through villages on rough cobblestones did me in but still a good trip.

I love the way you spell: the B&W instrumentalist is a hoot; close-up of insect face stunning; & the Maxfield Parrish image was the very one framed on my bedroom wall as a child. And even though touristy cards aren't usually my thing, the Riverwalk card evoked sweet memories of sitting at one of those cafes with my Bulgarian acrobat boyfriend when we were in San Antonio with the circus many moons ago. Comment: Yes, you have been sending to me often lately - and I am delighted every time! I appreciate all your efforts to match my interests and you send quality cards! To be honest, I don't care for mice so I will be sending the 3 mice to someone in a future swap!! But it is a top quality card and will be quite useful. The other 2 and the extra are definitely keepers: love that quirky Uncle Sam -- I do my family room in Americana theme for the summer and have a few folk art Uncle Sam's, so this card will be a perfect whimsical addition! Don't have that National Park card yet, so hurray; and love the art nouveau girl on the bike! Fun envelope even with color coordinated postage! And you will now get a guaranteed break from me, as I am on hiatus from swaps until mid July -- gearing up for a Mediterranean cruise and then some time in Paris.

Comment: Thank you for the postcards plus the extra. We don't go to the beach nearly as often as we should considering we live within a stone's throw of it but it's absolutely therapeutic when we do. I love that I take my children to the exact same beach that I was taken to as a baby. I was just watching cine films of me as a little baby with my dad on Warner Beach.

I'm particularly fond of the pensive man & the contented twosome, but all your choices were perfect. You're right, we do indeed have similar tastes. The reason I'm still in SW Florida is that I injured my back in the move from my island home (too many heavy boxes of books, methinks!) & the resulting sciatica has kept me relatively grounded. Boring!

As for the iguana, it is a beauty if you like those kind of pets -- a friend of mine had one and I just couldn't see the attraction! I love the one of the State Capitol and although I don't usually keep any 'extras' of anything in my collection (I keep them in a binder with spaces for the map, flag, capitol, bird, flower and license plate for each state), this is one that I am putting in because it is absolutely breathtaking --it is one of the most beautiful PCs I've ever seen. I pulled out my ink pads and an "8" from an antique set of printing press numbers in a large, incredibly heavy metal bin with drawers that I purchased years ago in a thrift shop. It must have been originally owned by some store that printed up its own price tags and marketing ads back in the day. When I bought the set I said to myself, "seriously Cyn, this is cool and all, but are you actually going to use it for anything?" I retorted, "it is possible, so yes!" The stamps are really nice too, though it looks like the mail machines tried to destroy them/peel them away. I love that the photograph is copyright the Royal Photographic Sociaty, Bath, when it's Chicago vs all America. Response: Yes, the funny thing is that if it ended up at some random person's home by mistake and they decided to go ahead and open it thinking they were going to get some cool gift, they were probably sorely disappointed. Really, who besides people like us are going to get excited about ephemera? I guess if that is what happened, the joke was on them. There is another possibility I thought of too. Although my normal procedure is to drop off my outgoing mail in the box outside the main post office on my way to work, I do recall giving a package and some postcards to my mail carrier sometime in mid November. As I saw him unceremoniously toss the stuff into a bin in his truck, I did wonder how careful the mail carriers are to get stuff to where it needs to be. I have no idea how careful those folks are and I don't want to cast aspersions on them or anything, and I also don't know if it was your package that I remember, but I do know that I plan to stick with the drop off procedure in the future. Anyway, I am glad my resend arrived and I am doubly glad that you like the contents. And thanks so much for the heart even after having to wait for the resend. All the best, Cynthia

Comment: Hi Cynthia - your beautiful card arrived today! It is lovely. And the Zazzle stamp is gorgeous. I have never seen one of them before. The card if very unique. I love it. Search work is rewarding and fun. Nothing like getting out and running around the "wild" every weekend with my dog. We practice weekly, year round. Thanks again.

My dog and I also spend every Saturday and Sunday morning at dawn out in some relatively remote spot (maybe not completely wild, but off-leash capable). I think there is no better way to start one's day then a friendly romp with a canine friend. I bet you and your crew have a great time, in addition to working on those search and rescue skills. I think that is so cool that you are an artist and people think you sell art to hang above couches! You should've just said "yes, I do sell art to hang above your couch" and sent them your link girl and sold some paintings! Then do some add on sales of art to hang above their bed, in their hallways and above their dining room tables too. :) Thank you for participating in my swap. Hope you have a Happy New Year too.
