Response: I'm really sorry. When I signed up for this swap, in my head I thought the deadline was in October, probably because it is a Halloween swap. My family went on vacation out of state late September. It was a whirlwind of activity getting my oldest daughter off to college and then getting my large family ready for the trip, then the week long trip, and then the clean-up from the trip. When life settled down, I got on Facebook and was I dismayed to see that I was wrong about the deadline. I sent you a message and made something as quickly as possible so you could enjoy it throughout October. I'm sorry you did not think it met the swap requirments. If you would like me to make you something for a different holiday to make up for this I'd be happy to. Again I'm sorry, usually I'm on top of all my Swapbot responsibilities.
Response: Wow! That made it to you quicker than I thought possible!!
Response: I found the outhouse pic in an old book and had been waiting for just the right swap...
Response: Sorry. I should have read your profile. I just printed ones I love to make myself.
Response: I used my sewing machine. It has lots of fun stitches to choose from. This was the first one I had thought to use it for an ATC.
Response: It's great for the first few years, then you acclimate. Then you feel like you're baking whenever the weather gets over 75 and freeze when it's 40.
Response: I didn't realize that. My very first bag came back to me after the first person. I had thought that was just a normal luck of the draw who your partner was. I just acted as the second person and took 2 and added 3 more. I will be more careful in the future and check all the names. Thanks for letting me know!
Response: I couldn't find anything about tap dancing in my stash, so I went online and found some clip art images I liked. I then printed, painted, and mounted each image.
Response: I just add gif to what I'm searching for on google. So for the giraffe i googled "giraffe tongue gif". The tricky part is finding a gif small enough for the comments. I always have to preview to make sure it fits.
Response: Sorry, I was so excited to get it in the mail I forgot to reread the requirements. I used leftover fabric from some quilts I made years ago. The zipper I bought years ago also in a bulk deal at a thrift store.
Response: Thank you, I'm glad you like it. I found a c2c pattern I liked and then altered it a bit to make it work for a dishcloth.
Response: I did not intend it at first. I added the eyes as an after thought because the middle looked like a mouth. And then it really looked like cookie monster. Glad you like it!
Response: Thank you! I made the whales. I crocheted them in white thread and then painted them.
Response: I randomly tore page out and didn't realize what the page content was until I was adding the embellishments. It is quite a dramatic scene in the book. I tried to cover all the words that did not go with my theme. The bottom pic is covering the word EMT. If you look on the top left you can still read something about not having a pulse. I had a good laugh at that being my background for friends.
Response: I'm glad you liked it. This was my first time making one, I'm definitely going to make more!!
Response: Yes. I believe I included the pattern if you'd like to try making it.
Response: I'm glad you like it!
Response: I'm so glad you love them! I had a lot of fun making them.
Response: Thank you! It's a free pattern on Ravelry. I'll send you a link in the messages.
Response: I'm so happy you like it! I had a lot of fun making it for you. Merry Christmas!!
Response: I was hoping you would! Thank you!
Response: Yes! Thanks for playing!
Response: Yes! Thanks for playing!
Response: I ran it through 7 languages. Google did a really good job translating. The biggest changes were I said it rains here a lot and it changed it to something like it is raining now heavily. It also changed Merry Christmas to Happy Holidays. I think next time the host should have us write both on the postcard or send a message with the original before google.
My partner's postcard only had a couple strange words. It hadn't changed to anything significantly different either.
Response: Can't wait for you to open it! Please write back if you like it.
