To tell you the truth I have never heard about Norman Rockwell, but thanks to your postcard I found out about this amazing artist. All of his pictures are insightful stories. I do wonder about a lot of things we have in our world today about what they were like in the Medieval era - it would take me to long to get into it though as a topic (trust me I can go on) :) Thanks again!

I brewed per your instructions on the zippy bag, which btw, I love these bags. Perfect for tea bags. I am thrilled to be able to try the Cardamom Sadaf. It is one of that brand I've left to try. I hate those ink jet postmarks the post office uses now, I'm in the process of trying to obtain a Mailer's Postmark for the city I just moved to. I had one for where I used to live. Anyways, thank you for the pretty card - I love your handwriting too.
Response: Hi! I'm pretty sure I just put it in the mail slot at the PO. Although I know when I give them things to hand cancel they use the round stamp on each stamp. I would be surprised to learn it's the same stamp thru the slot! No one has ever told me how the postmarks from my PO arrive. Maybe I'll have to mail myself a postcard and see :) I just mailed you a card for another swap - we'll see how it arrives! I didn't know you could get your own postmark - that's COOL! Comment: Thank you. I have baked a few of those on the card and many others. I have braided bread, like the ear of corn but not that pretty. Others I have baked are, whole wheat, sour dough, lavender, cheese, garlic, white, milk, pretzel rolls, cinnamon rolls, orange rolls, nut rolls, dinner rolls, hamburger and hot dog buns, slotcsky's buns, 7 grain, egg, shepherd, farmers, pizza crust, and quick breads, zucchini, orange, banana, muffins and english muffins. I miss baking bread, but wiht just us two, it is not worth it, because it molds before we can eat it.
Response: Wow - you really HAVE baked bread! Now you've made me hungry!! I know what you mean about it going bad, though. When I buy nice bread I can never get it finished before it gets hard or old. But it sure is heavenly when it's fresh!! :) And I bet homemade is even better!!

Response: Thank you so much for your kind words! They turned out so differently than how I had initially imagined them! I realized as I was packaging it all up that the card didn't want to stand up on its own - I think the front panel was too heavy. I bet you could fix that by adding some layers/counterweight to the back. Or just keep it folded up - ha ha. I hope you really did like them, and I hope you enjoy the tea flavors! That was a really fun swap! Thank you for the heart!

I have tried lady greby tea but havent had recently. mangosteen green tea sounds interesting , I have never seen a tea pack produced by stash ( I have never heard of it before ) and Im looking forward to trying teh earl grey produced by the company. And I have never seen a tea bag that includes so many kinds of herbs !!! Thank you so much for the extra tea as well as the notecard and envelope with Eiffel Tower , I really loved the notecard so much !!! I hope you like what I have sent you also :) After opening update-I opened up one each day all the way to the 24th, and wanted to tell you thank you for the great surprises! Everything was great, and I especially loved the Spa face mask and chocolate mask, the jelly belly freezer pops, mini France t-shirt, and the best fun thing ever-the Noggin Bops! Those things are so funny, everyone keeps asking me where I got them ;) Your awesome-happy holidays!!

Comment: Cooking is a hobby of mine, and I STILL reach for the snacks instead of making a healthy meal when I'm hungry, so I totally get where you're coming from! Without really knowing you, I can already say I am proud of you that you recognize that the "I don't have time" is just a cover. Too many people say that, not enough can admit it's not true. That is a GREAT step in the right direction! With the celery sticks & cheese, can you switch to celery sticks & almond butter? Still not great, but definitely better and it does have health benefits. Do you have an iPhone/iPad/Touch? If you do, get the YumYum Vegan app. I'm not a vegetarian, but the recipes are freaking amazing! (I just switch out the vegan items for regular items). She has a great website and amazing cook book too if you look them up! PS. I did send my swap to you this morning to your listed email, but I'll resend to this one too :)

I love almond butter, though unfortunately it's not on my plan except as a treat. But it does have a lot of nutrients! We can get it here in individual serving packs and it is yummy!! Thank you for your encouraging comments! It was like a light bulb going on when I realized I DO have time! Can't wait for the morning so I can prove it to myself! This swap and group has the potential to really make a difference in people's lives, including mine - so I thank you for that!! I don't have a smart phone yet, but have been considering being much more vegetarian, so will definitely check out her stuff!

Comment: I like Nerds too. I love sour, and I like rock candy. I put them in a ziploc sometimes for movies, but they are wily creatures and usually manage to escape in to my purse. It's a complete mystery how they ALWAYS seem to manage to get out. My other candy is not sneaky.

Response: You know, I thought that was a funny looking meerkat. I used to watch "Meerkat Manor" on TV and didn't remember them looking like that. I should have known, I actually volunteered once at a primate center and did some data collection on an aye-aye - she came up to me and reached out her long finger and touched my SHOE (my legs were crossed and my shoe was sticking out). It was so freaky and cool! I LOVE the photo you posted for me!!!! Where in the world did you find a plush one??? I'm so happy you liked 'em!! Thanks for the great feedback!

Comment: I got to say I was so glad to read so much about the birthday of yours. Sound so fun. Plus, I also love the postcard! Everything was so perfect, I was so amazed how big effort you had seen by writing to me. I also wish sometimes I'd be an animal. Yes, still. I used to sleep under the table, and I really mean sleeping! I was a bit like cat too. When other girls played with barbies, I loved to pretend I'm an animal.. All animal figures were the best ones.. :D When I was young, I only liked ice cream cakes, not the usual ones. All best to you, wish you were my partner later too! :)

I think we (general public) often imagine that all of the animals we consume have spent their lives wandering freely in nature, just in some little place in the back of our mind we imagine that. Comment: :D Thank you for the lovely comment. I thought Ror's name was quite clever, especially since his spots have sort of changed around over the years. (Did you know that spotted animals can "grow" spots if they lose a patch of fur?) Clove flavored candy sounds great! Where did you find them? My random favorite characters are from all over, mostly tv, movies, games..comics, lol. I would say it might be a younger generation pop-culture sort of thing. I also noticed that the name of the swap is a little different each time, too! Haha. It is a bizarre name, to be sure!
Response: I did NOT know that they could "grow" spots! Cool! I got the clove candy at a "Cracker Barrell" restaurant - candy sticks like old fashioned peppermint sticks, but many flavours. Love the oriental note card set (so detailed and unique!!), windchime, pens, starburst candy (one of my favvvvs), notebook/notecard, lovely tissue and toy!
