Comment: I received my beautiful journal page and was shocked to see you used the same color I used for the one I made for my partner. I love the pc of WV. We lived in Kenova, WV for a couple of years then moved to Cheasapeak Ohio across the river. Then moved back to PA where we grew up. I love the sayings you used too. Thank you! I can't wait to do more of these pages.

Response: I was born in WV, then lived in OH, PA, and CA, back to PA and then back to WV - sounds like we are gypsies...lol. This swap really is fun! I like it, too.

Comment: Thank you for the packs of flower seeds. I will use them around my vegetable gardens..... Everything is fenced in because of the wildlife. I don't have goat, which will eat everything. But deer, squirrels, chipmunks, etc. I don't mine sharing but to wipe out everything is upsetting. Happy Spring!

I appreciate your communication about it coming back to you, and I weighed it out of curiosity because it didn't feel like anything that warranted more than a regular stamp. It is 1.2 oz, so an extra ounce stamp sure. 93¢ more? That's ridiculous!!

Response: Actually, I think he was confused as the blue ridge mountains are not in west virginia!! I olive in the foothills about 50 miles from the.mountains. Our mountains are part of the Allegiances which are in the Appalachian mountains. All of WV is in Appalachia.

I think it's worth mentioning it's great to rescue books and I do that a lot too. True magpie! Lol However this book is so smelly, really musty and smells like mildew, yuck! I noticed it as soon as I opened the package and wow, so strong as I was going through it. Sneeze!! My hands stunk after handling it. Not sure I can save it! I'm rating a 5 for effort. I really liked the small tube of beads it had one shape in particular that really spoke to me it looks almost like a fuse or a transistor can't wait to figure out where that one will go. The pop up sponges are great too I've not seen ones that small. Thank you very much for all of the goodies. When putting my package together I was shocked to see how much paper I actually use but it's these little pieces that bring it all together.

Comment: Hii. I am so sad. I received my journal yesterday but it wreaks of mildew and mold. I can't even hold it long enough to read it, and I was really looking forward to using it! I am giving you a 5, only because it got here on time. My allergies ARE that sensitive. Even after 26 yrs of allergy shots. My 88 yr old mum said it smelled horrible...and she can't smell a horse in a barn!

Response: I had no idea. I live in a damp area and had no idea there was any mold or mildew in the journal. I am truly sorry. I must be used to whatever it was as I did not smell anything wrong. I bought the journal at a local store. I wonder if they had them stored for a while. Also, I used YES glue, which takes a while to dry. It has an odd scent but it was a new, sealed jar of glue when I started.

Response: I make the tiny books from the spine of old magazines!! Great fun to play with. Try it, it's not hard! I then glue in some blank pages so someone could actually use the little things. I wrote a story in one for a little girl I know..complete with tiny illustrations... I love playing with stuff!!

Comment: The envelopes were so cute! The only issue is the ink on the little blue and black circle cutouts wasn’t dry or it melted or something and it got all over :(. But that is not your fault! Everything else was great!

Response: I got those circle cutouts in a trade...didn't know they weren't permanent. sorry. I guess the heat must have caused the problem. I'll toss the others I got in the trash. ugh.

Response: I did have a lot of fun creating the journal! It's fun to take a bunch of junk and make something out of it. I have been doing something for years with old magazines and catalogs - making silly cards for my family at Christmas time. Swap-bot fits right in with that mentality!!

Comment: Karen, thank you so much for the lovely ATC (and for explaining your process...I wonder why I didn't think to use crayons?), and for the beautiful snowflake and vine die cuts. I have something in mind for those...oh, yes I do!

Response: I melt the crayons with an old iron (put a piece of wax paper or another piece of paper over the crayon pieces) - if you put paper over them, you get 2 images to play with! It's really a lot of fun. You can also make "stained glass" by melting crayons between 2 pieces of wax paper. I love playing with Crayola crayons. The only 2 brands I have found that have pure, dark colors are Crayola and Prang. The cheaper crayons come out very pastel and "waxy".

Comment: I loved the card. It arrived in a plastic baggie from the post office... the envelope had gotten ... opened somehow.. luckily the card was unharmed. Thank you for the extras as well.

Comment: You and I could be fast friends! I loved your note! I have maps in the kid's bathroom and they laugh! Imagine if I wallpapered the walls! Their lucky I never thought of it myself!! Awesome idea! Thanks for the nice atc. I hope we swap again in the future!

Response: Since our house fire, we have been living in a trailer and my youngest grandson has the tiny little "extra room" for his bedroom. The walls have some old faded wall paper and one day, his mother came in and yelled at him for drawing on it. I told her to leave him alone as nothing he did would look worse than that wallpaper. Well, he and I decided to "decorate"...he loves dinosaurs, so we colored them in his dinosaur coloring book, cut them out, and scotch taped them all over the wall over his bed! He'll be 8 in September and has 2 sisters way older than he is. One of his sisters did some pictures for his wall, too. (Yes, their mother thinks we are nuts - she has NO creative ideas at all, which is a shame). I always let my boys do whatever they wanted in their rooms and one of them painted a huge ship on his wall and smurfs with stop signs on his bedroom door to keep his brothers out!
