Response: Glad you liked them. The image is from a daily calendar - if it doesn't say where it is, I don't know. Take care.
Response: Thanks for the rating. Wow, did it really take 3 months for the swap to arrive?
Response: I am so glad you liked it. Yes, I have a few Mr. Zip rubber stamps. Take care!
Response: I bought the mini decks at playingcarddecks.com. Lots & lots of decks - but I only saw 3 mini decks (sold together as a bundle). Check any game stores, toy stores, or souvenir shops in your area. I find playing card decks in various places. Book stores, craft stores, education supply stores, and even at CVS / drug stores. Good luck!
Response: 11/10/21 I sent you a message. I just sent the swap 3 days ago and mail takes that long to get out of the city here. I definitely sent you cards from different decks and have record of what I sent. Let me know which deck backs you received and we can work this out. Also, could these cards be from your other partner in this swap?
Response: I am glad you like the playing cards. Yes, I purposely sent extra playing cards. Enjoy!
Response: Thank you for the nice comments. The quote rubberstamp is from Darkroom Door (company in Australia) and in a set called Bookworm (DDRS139). I am not sure if I got it from Amazon (USA), Simon Says Stamp, or another seller of rubberstamp sets. I hope you can find it in Europe. It would be great if you write back!
Response: Thank you for the rating and heart. I got the address stamp from 2impress on etsy. They have quite the variety of address stamps.
Response: We attended an event to make paper and decorate the paper discs for the exhibit. I also have made paper on my own - pretty easy (if you have a blender) but very messy.
Response: Yea, it finally arrived. I got the Ohio Mr Zip stamp from ArtfulGeetCreations on Etsy. I do not know which states she has. The address stamp is also from Etsy (2impress). I am so glad you liked the swap.
Response: I am so glad it arrived. Have a great week.
Response: Thank you for rating and the heart. Unfortunately the astronaut rubber stamp doesn't have any identifying information on it (it is mounted on oval-shaped foam and thin pressed wood base). I bought it many, many years ago and don't remember where. Sorry.
Response: I am so glad you liked it. I have 3 different math washi and don't remember which I sent to you. I got them at scrapbook shows & conventions. Probably more than one vendor but I know Eyelet Outlet was one of them.
Response: The Halloween image is a rubber stamp - I colored it with markers on the vellum.
Response: I am so glad you like the swap. The mailbox is from an older / retired Lawn Fawn set called "You've Got Mail".
Response: Yes, it is a Harry Potter dragon. :)
Response: I am glad you liked it. Yes, the trees are a die - a tree frame die from Gina Marie Designs.
Response: So glad you liked the swap. The Chinese characters stamp is from JudiKins (2201 J). The fish stamp I bought at Stamp Francisco when it was in San Francisco. They are no longer in business but I think another company purchased them or the images.
Response: I buy playing cards when I travel (cheap souvenirs - US states, China, Peru, etc.) and at garage sales / thrift stores / antique markets. I have gotten some new decks at bookstores. Stamping envelopes was not my original idea - people have been decorating mail since mail existed. Stamp & get creative with your mail! :)
Response: I am so glad you liked what I sent. Viva Las VegaStamps sells the Mr Zip rubber stamps and lots of other postal-related rubber stamps. Have a great week!
Response: I enjoyed it. I read it over a long time (a couple of months) so I had to keep reminding myself of who was who in the story. Have you read other books by Kate Morton? I recommend the Secret Keeper by her.
Response: I think it is from the mid-1940's. I know during World War II, V-mail was used which is the same idea of fold & send / unit-letter. The package says W.P. Rend Co patent pending. I tried researching it before but couldn't find anything about it. Modern machinery may eat it up but it would be interesting to try. Take care.
Response: I am so glad you liked everything. It was fun to put together. The writing paper / note card was created for a swap - not sure if I sent one of mine or one I received. A video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipb1T53DdaQ) was the inspiration / instructions.
Response: I got the Stampin' Up! cards many years ago at the demonstrators convention in Salt Lake City (only available for that convention / year, I think). Each year they had different items to buy with the logo on it. I am no longer a SU! demonstrator and that was the only convention I attended.
Response: I am so glad you like it. It was my first flowish journal so I am no expert! I kept finding cool things to include and had a hard time stopping. When the journal was too big for the envelope, that made the decision easier. :)
Response: I hope you liked them. Stampin' Up playing cards are from several years ago (demonstrators convention).
Response: Thanks! I am glad it made you laugh. I laughed so hard the first time I saw that episode. I look forward to your postcard!
Response: I am glad you enjoyed it. It was fun to find a postcard and postage that you would (hopefully) like based on your profile.
Response: This is why I love swapping - making fun packages that my partners enjoy. Thanks for the wonderful rating and I am thrilled you like what I sent.
Response: I don't remember for sure where I purchased them. It may have been at a rubber stamping convention (booth with lots of small embellishments & vintage papers). If so, that company (Studios Blackbird) has since closed. The packaging has "Stanislaus Imports" on it.
Response: Thank you. I believe I got the Mr. Zip rubberstamp through Viva Las VegaStamp (website / store).
Response: I am glad you like the postcard (got a Doctor Who set of postcards from Amazon). I have lots of food limitations (allergies & medical conditions) so I usually have to cook at home. I look for gluten-free, specialized diets, healthy, quick & easy recipes plus ones for the InstaPot (got one as a gift).
Response: Nope, I have never been scuba diving. :) I played viola for 9 years. When I went to college, I didn't have time for it with a math / science major.
Response: Ooooh, thanks for the places to look.
Response: Wow, Thanks! That means a lot to me since I really, really struggled with the mystery supply. I threw away a few attempts / ideas before I got to the final result / items. I was glad it turned out so well.
Response: So glad you liked the postcards. :) I have not been to a Doctor Who convention...yet. They look so fun. I really enjoyed Hogsmeade / Harry Potter World at Universal Studios (Hollywood). I like frozen butter beer. :)
Response: Thanks! I haven't figured out how to post pictures on the thread (can you email me how - or you can do it if you have photos of it).
Response: ??? I never said that yours disappointed me. I am confused by that comment.
Response: I bought a box of them on eBay many years ago.
Response: Thanks so much! I get the artistamps (made by others) in artistamp or mailart swaps (sometimes included as "extras" by the sender). I don't remember what I put on the envie. If it was on the back side, it was an envelope seal sticker.
Response: Thanks. I don't know the proper name for the technique. I start with a blank, white page and put artist's tape/masking tape down in random sizes and places. I color the background with various inks. Then I remove the tape and do some rubberstamping.
Response: Glad you like it. You must have finally received the first one I sent. I put the resend in the mail yesterday and I doubt if it would have arrived so soon. Bonus for you - 2 pcs from me for this swap. :)
Response: Glad you liked it. The theme for Mail Art - Week 16 actually IS Transportation (first 2 sentences of the swap description) so all your mailart for the swap should be in that theme. Thanks for the heart.
Response: Thanks! I do not having very developed drawing skills and I am not very experienced in painting but I love the idea of etegami. I am so glad you like it. I bought the watercolor paper postcards at Dick Blick Art Materials.
Response: I am so glad you liked it! I really enjoyed making the items and putting it together. I am flattered that I inspired you - have fun and create things you enjoy.
Response: Yea! It arrived okay - across town. :) I am so glad you like the journal!
Response: Thank you! I am glad you liked it.
Response: I am so glad you like it (you do such wonderful zines and I wanted to strive for the same quality). I had to "think outside the box" to get the stamp images included in an organized way.
Response: I am so glad you received your journal back - and that you loved the pages I did. I wish more people had been able to contribute to your journal.
Response: Thanks so much! I am glad the postal strike is over and you received it!!
Response: Making paper isn't very hard - messy (wet) and time consuming (esp the drying part). Definitely try it and have fun!
Response: Thanks! I am glad you like it. It was fun to put together.
Response: Thanks so much! I am glad you like them.
Response: I am glad you like it. I was nervous about it arriving since I had mistakenly put the faux stamp where the real postage goes - wasn't sure it would make it through the postal systems like that.
Response: It's a fairly new punch (available through Stampin' Up). But I have seen some people make owls out of other punch shapes with some cutting & gluing.
Response: Thanks! I am glad you liked it and opened up some options for your art. I like seeing other people's art and interpretations too to get ideas and inspiration.
Response: So glad you liked it. I was initially concerned about finding items to include...and then I had the problem of too much on some days. :)
Response: I am glad you got it and like it.
Response: I am glad you liked it. Yes, our theme was German - the home brewed beer, pretzels, and cheese pastries were a big hit.
Response: I laughed when I saw your address - International brochures and I need to send to someone across town. I hope you like the brochures anyway - or pass them on to an out-of-towner.
Response: Thanks! No significance to the amounts. Just trying to make my stamps reflect actual postage stamps with values on them.
Response: I am glad you liked them. Good luck with collecting & swapping pressed pennies!
Response: I am glad you appreciate the Ytterbium. The image of Sweden is a hand carved stamp I made and I used embossing powder to imitate Ytterbium.
Response: Thank you. I am new to artistamps and enjoy making them.
Response: Thanks! I am new to artistamps so I am glad you like them.
Response: I was nervous about doing the journal. I am sooo glad you like it!
Response: I am glad you liked them. Yes, I always think it's nicer to send something your partner will probably like.
Response: I am glad you like it. Yes, the grass is a rubber stamp I have. The background colors are from several ink pads and applied "direct to paper".
Response: oops - sorry about the glitter. I am glad you enjoy the items I sent.
Response: I am glad you liked them. I read your profile and tried to pick some you would enjoy.
Response: I am so thrilled you like it all! I am glad it made it overseas in good time. Enjoy!
Response: Thank you for the kind comments. I am a bit rusty and your rating gives me the courage to keep at it. I am sure you are your own worst critic - I read your profile and you create wonderful things.
Response: I agonized over what cards to make - I am a bit rusty. I am glad you love 'em!
Response: I am happy they went to a good home... and will be used. I always overbuy the number of cards I use and I hate to waste them.
Response: I originally sent it May 29 from Ohio -- to Australia. I sent again June 29.
