Response: You're welcome! I got some of the printable fabric last year, and never really did anything with it, but it was perfect for this project! I also want to do other experiments with block printing fabric and painting some.

When I first opened the envelope I was confused why my partner sent it back, then I realized it was different fabrics. I really like the butterfly print on the back. Response: Thanks! I love doing the crumb blocks! I have little baskets and big plastic jars that I put all my scraps in when I'm sewing anything, and then, I sit there on a rainy or other dull day and sew them together in twos until I empty a container, then I either continue sewing the pair blocks into other pairs until they are all done, or put them aside for another day. I usually end up with pieces about the size of placemats that I can then cut into the blocks I used for yours. Nice mindless relaxation projects!

I am making all of my blocks from batiks and white fabric combos so the extra's you sent will be a great addition to my collection of batiks for that project. I may even add to the "bright and white" blocks you sent me to create a border. Thank you dear!

Response: Yes, I sliced up a piece of firewood and shaped the roof, then wood-burned the details and added a little wash of acrylic sparkly paint and dimensional paint 'gingerbread'. I'm glad you like it!

Response: Everything I have is relatively new, since I started doing quilt block swaps here last fall, except maybe some I got in noodle swaps or fat quarters or things tucked into swaps I received--some may be your fabric!--hard to tell--I have all my strings in a big grocery bag in a bundle. It's a wonderful way to use up odds and ends, for one thing, and I do love to use up every scrap! :) And the colorway is fabulous--blue for water and for peacocks, and there are even little pieces of peacock fabric in the block! Response: They are! And so very easy! You can use a mixer, or a bowl and spoon, the time isn't crucial, either, it's best to let them rise, but if you're in a hurry, just stick them in the oven, they make a taasty if a little smaller loaf.

Response: I had a totally amazing bit of fun making both for you--it was inspiring and I've completed two more larger paintings in the series now--that's exciting! I haven't painted in weeks! The new ones will go in a new exhibit in November in Putnam at a Gallery I work with. Response: You're welcome! I found when doing a large-number inchie swap, that sticking them in a pleated paper holder makes them mail much flatter--no extra postage for fat mail, and wrapping them keeps them from falling out!!

Response: I'm so glad you are pleased! I just printed two of each of the three raised ones, cut out the focal image and glued it on little bits of matboard, then put diamond glaze on just the raised parts. The others have a coat of diamond glaze for the glassy shine.

Response: I love making them, and collecting them, too! I made a "charm tree" out of wire bent and twisted together that hangs from my ceiling in my studio,and each "branch" has a charm hanging from it. That way I get to see them all the time.
